PETITION FOR INTERVENTION

 

                 NOW COMES the Campaign for Ratepayers Rights, by an through its attorney, Robert A. Backus, Esq., and its Executive Director, Patrick J. Arnold, pursuant to RSA 541-A:32 and N.H. Admin. Rules Puc 203.17, and respectfully requests that it be allowed to intervene in the above-numbered PUC Docket and all related proceedings.

                 As grounds, it is stated that:

 

                 1.              The Campaign for Ratepayers Rights (CRR) is a statewide citizens’ organization concerned about utilities regulation, electric rates and their impact on ratepayers in the State of New Hampshire. CRR is particularly concerned with efficiency efforts throughout the State and seeks to maximize effectiveness of such efforts and programs.

                 2.              CRR has before participated in PUC ratemaking, financial, competition, and other dockets. Its standing has been upheld on several occasions.

                 3.              The rights, interests and privileges of CRR and its members may be affected by the outcome of the above-referenced proceeding.

                 4.              CRR is represented by counsel, Robert A. Backus, Esq. and by its Executive Director, Patrick J. Arnold.

                

                 WHEREFORE, the Campaign for Ratepayers Rights respectfully requests that the Public Utilities Commission:

                 I.               Allow CRR to intervene in all proceedings related to this evaluation of the CORE energy efficiency programs; and

                 II.             Allow Patrick J. Arnold to serve as co-representative of CRR during these proceedings.
